New Gig @ Leaps by Bayer: Vocation, Ocupation, and a World-Class Team

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently joined Bayer’s corporate venture team, Leaps by Bayer.

As you know, I’m deeply passionate about the AgTech revolution.  I’m particularly enthused to join colleagues Derek Norman (RTP-based) and PJ Amini (SF-based) along with our colleagues focused on pharma and consumer health on this journey.  Building value within the crop science business line at Bayer, and supporting ambitious and disruptive entrepreneurs looking to create impact within AgTech—what an incredible combination of mission, platform, and talent! (current portfolio)

This team’s strategic mandate is clear:

  • Reduce environmental impact of farming
  • Eradicate insect-born infections
  • Develop a sustainable protein supply
  • Drive transformational digital business models for agriculture

Water + Energy=Food

I remain convinced that we are on a path to reduce the water and energy needed to produce nutritious food to meet global demands as our population tops 11B by 2100.  I’m especially focused on the following areas that may resonate with you and your network, and welcome any introductions:

  • The intersection of novel agricultural solutions, disruptive technology, and financial services.
  • Sensors & Remote Sensing (terrestrial, airborne, & spaceborne) that can improve agronomy
  • Autonomous solutions that reduce costs, increase yield, and reduce the impact of farming on our environment, and
  • Novel crop protection solutions that challenge the status quo

Please let me know how I can help you in your endeavors, and I look forward to hearing from you soon—happy to schedule time to catch up or re-connect at an even in the near future.

Stay in touch! Grab my new work details (vCard) or send me a note on LinkedIn.

Looking forward to chatting soon!
